Reclaiming of the continental title on the cards for AS FAR
AS FAR (Royal Armed Forces Sports Association) has made its mark in the history of African women's football with its remarkable performances in the CAF Women's Champions League.
In 2021, AS FAR participated in the first edition of the competition, where they reached the semi-finals on first attempt. The following year, the team continued to progress and lifted the title on home soil.
How they qualified for the 2024 edition:
For the 2024 season, AS FAR qualified for the CAF Women's Champions League as champions of domestic league of the host country. Although the team also won the UNAF Zonal qualifiers, their qualification stems from their status as host clubs.

In a recent interview conducted by the coach, he emphasised that should they be able to reclaim their title, it would have to be good balance and implementation of team cohesion, mental preparation and willingness to give it their all against some of the best clubs on the continent.
